Banned Chhatra League leader from Sarishabari arrested from Dhanmondi
Banned Chhatra League leader Md. Hridoy Hasan Lablu (28) has been arrested by the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) from the capital’s Dhanmondi area. Hridoy was arrested during a raid on an under-construction building in the Dhanmondi area around 5:30 pm on Sunday. The DMP said in a press release that the raid was conducted after his location was confirmed.

Police said that the arrested Hridoy Hasan is the vice-president of Jamalpur’s Sarishabari Upazila Chhatra League. He had led a Chhatra League procession in Mirpur’s Kazipara area on July 11. The process of taking legal action against him is underway.
